Shimungwe is nestled on the banks of the Timbavati River in the wild south of the iconic Thornybush Nature Reserve. Situated amongst winding jackalberry and appleleaf trees, the lodge sits in peaceful tranquillity overlooking the sandy riverbed and the comings and goings of nyala, baboons and elephants.
